Forget-Me-Not would like to thank everyone who has taken part in Once Upon a Nursery Crime, which was delivered via Zoom this summer. We would also like to thank those of you who downloaded Lockdown Learning through MUSIC-CAN through Forget-Me-Not-Productions’ online resources – both projects were a big success. In addition to this, our outreach team have resumed some face to face sessions having put stringent Health & Safety measures in place.

Health & Safety measures

Forget-Me-Not has been closely monitoring the guidance and are thrilled to announce that it’s business as usual (albeit in a virtual sense), with face-to-face sessions partially resuming. We are also exploring all possible ways to re-introduce sessions in person. We are taking all steps to ensure the safety of our clients and staff to minimise risk of infection. Health & Safety measures that we have taken include frequently washing and sanitising our hands & all equipment, wearing disposable aprons changed between clients, wearing 3 ply masks as well as visors where necessary and we also have a 800mm x 2000mm Perspex screen so that singing can continue to take place.

Heritage Lottery Fund Wales

We have just announced that our Heritage Lottery funded project ‘Eye+ Matter’ (developed in partnership with Ty Gwyn Special School) is partially resuming this autumn. Although we are currently unable to visit our partner schools, we can undertake some MUSIC-CAN sessions with private clients. We are also announcing that ‘Once Upon a Nursery Crime’ will be rolled out into the autumn term. In addition to this, we are launching our ‘Once Upon a Nursery Crime’ virtual panto this November; with the fairytale characters from our previous sensory stories making an appearance. The panto will be told through ‘live’ action (streamed through Zoom) and flashbacks (CCTV style). It will reference the nursery crimes explored in the sensory stories. The audience will then be invited to ‘crack the case’. A full programme of online autumn classes and event will follow so watch this space!
