Sensory stories: Once Upon a Nursery Crime PowerPoint

Forget-Me-Not has developed a series of FREE remote sensory stories using the MUSIC-CAN framework. Sessions will take place on Zoom at 11.30am every Monday morning, starting 29th June 2020. Participants will explore well-known nursery rhymes and fairytales alongside Jack Sprat; a police officer trying to crack a new unsolved nursery crime each week.

What do the sessions involve?

We will tell a well-known story using words, music and also a sensory stimuli. Words will be minimal and each line of dialogue will be paired with a sensory stimulus. .The sessions will also be interspersed with popular songs (lyrics are on the PowerPoint – feel free to singalong!).

Once Upon a Nursery Crime Sensory stories

We will immerse you in our tales through our use of props, music and also audience interaction. The stories and songs will change every week, however the Once upon a Nursery Crime sensory story structure (as outlined in slides 1-9  of the PowerPoint presentation) will remain the same. The first nursery crime we will be looking at is Humpty Dumpty. Please make a note of the props needed (from slide 10 onwards in the PowerPoint). You will be given visual prompts by the facilitators.

This isn’t a money making scheme – the sessions are free. However, being a small business we do need to keep some income coming in to keep our business going, so would welcome any donations which can be made via our JustGiving page:
