Past outreach projects
Forget-Me-Not-Productions has worked in partnership with Abercynon Primary School for three consecutive years. Firstly, as the director of the Key Stage 2 end of year performance. This was Disney’s Lion King (summer term 2017). They also worked with pupils on Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (summer term 2018). Most recently they helped pupils devise a script called The Greatest Circus Show in Wales. (summer term 2019). Pupils had just half a term to learn the choreography, dialogue and complex songs. They also designed the set and props in that time.
From 2013 to 2016, Forget-Me-Not also did outreach work with the pupils from Ysgol Hen Felin special school. They adapted and developed well-known shows to perform for their Christmas concerts. Beauty and the Beast, Busy Malone and Grease is the Word!
These were all multilingual productions that also provided a multitude of opportunities for high quality arts experiences. A truly inclusive model of delivery was developed over 4 years that seamlessly encompassed participants and the wider school community in the creation of multimedia clips, musical theatre performances & dance choreography.
Grease is the Word is an outreach project made possible by funding from the Arts Council of Wales, the Big Lottery and the Welsh Government.
